Illustrating Southport

During half term, I went out to take pictures of different areas of Southport town for our new project.

Artist Research

Simply Katy is a travel artist who creates art for people because she believes that travel is good for the soul. She wants to create memories for people to remember, people who are looking for new horizons, places to visit, or wanting to do something they've never done before.

I took a picture of the Marine Gateway Bridge and thought it would be a pretty illustration to inspire other people to travel to Southport. I used image trace to create the illustration, and added the place name, and 'Southport UK'.

Outcome

I'm pleased with the outcome, but if given more time, I'd love to be able to try to illustrate the picture and add more detail in regards to colour.
